Welcome to the Adirondack Center for Writing's Online Classroom!

The purpose of this workshop is to try various techniques to let loose, shut down our internal editor, and generate the seeds of new work through writing prompts and creative play.  Although led by a poet, this workshop might be useful for any of us trying to get out of our own way to let new ideas flow. This five-week course will combine lecture, writing practice, and discussion. Each week, Marilyn McCabe will prompt the group with assignments to spark creative response. Class participants will be invited to post new work and provide positive feedback to each other on promising directions indicated by the new work, exercising their skills as creative readers well as writers.

This class will be taught Marilyn McCabe, poet, teacher, and writer. For more information on Marilyn, see her information page here.
